MEGS is an independent lighting design consultancy based in Melbourne, Australia. MEGS trades under the direction of Adam Meredith.
Over the past decade Adam has worked within Australia’s finest museums and galleries, including roles as Exhibition Technical Services Manager at the Museum of Old and New Art (Mona), the Head of Lighting at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV), and Technical Operations, at Museum Victoria. In 2011 Adam also achieved a IES award (Illuminated Engineers Society) for Lighting Design Excellence, for the MONA project.
Adam’s interest in lighting efficiency and contemporary design has been supported by a range of international research placements including sponsored trips to the Guggenheim, Metropolitan and MOMA in New York, USA and the Louvre and Pompidou Centre in Paris, France. MEGS has recently returned from contract work at Metropolitan Museum, New York, on the Islamic & Asian Art redevelopment and the Basel History Museum, Switzerland. International research and strong industry connections means MEGS is up to date with current lighting trends and technologies, bringing energy and maintenance savings through design.
